Ned Roediger Obituary

Ned A. Roediger, age 77, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 3:25a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. He was born on June 25, 1943 in New Bremen, Ohio to the late Frank and Leona (Kellermeyer) Roediger. On April 15, 1967, he married Marilyn Gehle, who survives. Also surviving are his children Brad (Karen Maner) Roediger of Dayton, Nicole (Thomas) Grabow of Celina, granddaughter Hanah (Isaac) Daniel of Savannah, GA, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Pam Roediger of Allentown, PA, Ruth Partner of St. Augustine, FL, Phyllis Beckett of Dayton, Janet (Dale) Alig of New Bremen, Linda Gehle of Muskegon, MI, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike (Mary Kay) Gehle, Denny (Sue) Gehle, Dave (Debra) Gehle all of Celina, and John (Carol) Gehle of Vandalia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene Roediger, Richard Roediger, brothers-in-law Jack Beckett, Roger Gehle, and sisters and brothers-in-law Juanita (Delbert) Scheer and Gloria (Harry) Wagner.
Ned graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1961. He had been employed at Huffy’s for 39 years then retired from C.A.P.T. He attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge Post #1473. He was an avid hunter who loved to deer hunt with his family. His most treasured adventure was going on an African safari with his father. He enjoyed flying remote control airplanes. He was a master at crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s and was the rock of the family.
Private funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C. PP.S. officiating. Ned will be buried in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Wild Turkey Foundation Maumee Valley Chapter for disabled hunters, ATTN: Gary Robinson 10277 Scarlet Oak Dr. Perrysburg, OH 43551.
