Nancy E. (Shade) Meeds

Nancy E. Meeds age 88 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Vancrest of St. Marys Health Care Center in St. Marys.  She was born the daughter of Herman and Opal (Lanich) Shade on October 15, 1935 in Versailles, Ohio.  On January 29, 1956 she married Elvy Meeds, who died October 10, 2018. 

Nancy is survived by her two children Pamela Meeds and Scott Nell of Statesville, N. C. and Ronald Meeds and Sally Kane of Celina. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Deborah Meeds, brothers Royce Shade, Carl Shade, France Shade, Jack Shade and her two sisters Enid Ketring, and Dorothy Hopkins.

Nancy graduated from Versailles High School, with the Class of 1953.  She was a homemaker and Volunteered at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. She enjoyed working at the Gift shop.

A private family memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.  Burial will follow in the North Grove Cemetery in Celina.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Council on Aging, 217 Riley St. Celina, Ohio 45822.  Condolences may be shared with the Meeds family on-line at LehmanDzendzelFH.com.
