Gage Ryan Short

Gage Ryan Short, age 31 of Celina, passed away at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born on October 5, 1990 in Dayton, OH.
He is survived by his parents Ann Marie Short and Mike Staugler; sister Victoria (Tanner) Lewis; brother Ridge Matthews; nieces and nephews Sylus, Sereniti, Jace, Mason; step-grandparents Alvera (Victor Rutschilling) Staugler; three step-sisters Amber (Eric) Evers, Abby Staugler, Alyssa Minton; step-nieces and nephews Colten, Cora, Creed, Amya, Landyne, Lily, Lane; aunts and uncle Ron (Shirley) Short, Pamela Bean, cousins Megan Short, Kenny (Lauren) Short, close friend Mary Fortkamp, and extended Staugler family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth (Shirley) Short.
Gage was a 2010 graduate of Celina High School and had attended Wright State University-Lake Campus. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Celina Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed being outdoors where he could be found riding his golf cart, fishing, swimming and traveling. He was a member of the Celina Moose #1473, Celina Eagles #1291, and Mt. Tabor Church of God where he was also member of their dartball team. He also enjoyed going to races at Eldora, listening to bands, and dancing. He loved to go out to eat especially at Mexican restaurants.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 22, 2021 at Mt. Tabor Church of God, with Rev. Ben Neff officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Challenger Baseball League in care of Kathy Coon. Gage would love if all who attend the visitation and the service wear Celina Bulldog or Ohio State University clothing in honor of Gage's favorite teams.
