Ronald Tester, age 83 of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at his residence, with his family at his bedside. He was born on June 13, 1942 to the late Clifford and Dorcas (Steen) Tester in Celina, Ohio. On Jan 9, 1965 he married the love of his life, Carol Brunswick, who survives in Celina. He is also survived by his two daughters Kim (Mark) Baker and Shelley (Dave) Shrock, both of Celina; three grandchildren Katie (Kody) Pyle of Springboro, Ryan Baker of Celina, and Noah Shrock of Cincinnati; one great granddaughter Kaelynn Pyle of Springboro and his two sisters-in-law Grace (Jerry) Muhlenkamp of Ft. Recovery, Phyllis Moorman of Coldwater; two brothers-in-law Elroy Brunswick of Kettering and Dave (Marg) Brunswick of St. Henry.
In addition to his parents Ron is preceded in death by his brother Clifford "Duff" (JoAnn) Tester, sister Ginger (Melvin) Miller, parents-in-law Clarence "Jim" (Catherine) Brunswick; two sisters-in-law Barb Schuh and Mary Brunswick; two brothers-in-law Bill Schuh and Bob Moorman.
Ron graduate from Celina High School with the Class of 1960. He was a supervisor at Speicher Brothers for twenty years. After Speicher Brothers closed, he held various positions at CW Service, New Idea and Celina Manor prior to retirement.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and a member of the Coldwater Eagles #3025. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, attending races at Eldora Speedway, watching NASCAR races and the Ohio State Buckeyes. His favorite pastimes included the challenge of fixing whatever was broken and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. You could always find him mowing grass or riding his John Deere Gator around their small farm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Fr. Robert Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery in Celina. Visitation will be held for family and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026 and from 9:00 a.m. until 10a.m. on Friday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to Everheart Hospice 230 N. Main St. Coldwater, Ohio 45828 or to The Endowment Fund of Immaculate Conception 229 W. Anthony St. Celina, Ohio 45822.
