Randal James Petit

Randal James Petit, age 76 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. He was born on December 30, 1949 in Doylestown, Ohio to the late William and Bessie (Davis) Petit. He leaves behind his significant other Betty Lawrence, who survives in Celina. Two children Michael Petit (Renee Huston) of Celina and Mitchell (Brandy) Petit of Fort Recovery, seven grandchildren; Katherine (Jordan) Reinhart, Miranda (Kelsey) Winters, Lukas Petit, Jonathan Petit, William Petit, Chance Petit and Abigail Petit, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his two sisters Linda Hart of Columbus Grove and Cindy Remaklus-Hicks of Alvo, Nebraska.

In addition to his parents, Randal was preceded in death by his wife Katheryn "Kay" Imel, his sister Sandy Newsome, brothers Ronald Petit, Gary (Marsha) Petit, Russell Petit and his grandson Marcus Petit.

After Graduation from Chippewa Senior High School, Randal proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Then he continued to serve with the Indiana National Guard as a Drill Sergeant.

He retired as a Plant Manager after a longtime of employment with the Fort Recovery Industries in Fort Recovery, Ohio. He also worked as a brick mason.

He was a lifetime member of the Celina V. F. W. Post #5713 and a member of the Celina Eagles Grand Lake Aerie # 1291.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, and hunting.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Mick Whistler officiating. Randal will be buried in the Dayton National Cemetery, with Military Honors on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, before his funeral service.
