Jim leaves behind his loving wife Roxanne (Bonifas) Boise, of 50 years, his sons, Jay (Sarah) of Cincinnati and Cody of Celina. No one will miss Jim more than his grandchildren, Sophie and Mila of Cincinnati, and Jett and Libby of Celina.
He leaves behind his siblings Judith Winklejohn, Jane Long, Jill Howe, Jody (Dick) Kramer all of Celina, Jackie (Jay) Cubbison of West Land, MI, Julie (Sam) Clay of West Land, MI, Jeff (Kris) Boise of Coldwater as well as his in laws Jackie Lemons of Chandler, AZ, Scott Bonifas of Coldwater, Teri Bonifas of Celina, Julie Bonifas of Celina, and sister-in-law Diane Bonifas of Celina. Jim was a 1970 graduate of Celina High School, where he was proud to be a Celina Bulldog football player with his best friends. After high school, his love for football took him to play flag football with friends for Larry's Radiator, then Fetter's Masonry. He went on to coach Little League football for many years and coached his sons, Jay and Cody.
Jim was an employee of The City of Celina, working as a member of the street crew for 5 years, before becoming a lineman for 25 years and retiring in 2007. He then drove a dump truck for Chuck Samples and Brookeside.
Jim loved being with his family and having a large time with friends. Jogging, riding his bike and yard work were just a few of Jim's favorite things. Jim was an avid lover of the Cincinnati Reds, especially attending Opening Day with close friends for 20 + years, then continuing on that tradition with his sons, Jay and Cody, for many more.
Nothing compares to the joy and laughter that Jim experienced with his grandkids. Gramps was always the first choice over Grammy.
