Christina Louise (Prine) Williams, known to her family and friends as "Chris", was born February 28th, 1959 in Lima, Ohio to Leah (Hendricks) and Carl Prine. Chris growing up with her siblings Vickie, Cindy, Dave, Laurie and Joe, their father, Carl passed at a young age, leaving Leah to raise their children. She later married Fred Hoffman adding Jeffrey, Betsy and Jenny to complete their family. Chris later fell in love with and married Erik Williams and became an adoring mother to their children Erika and Jason. Erik, too, passed at a young age, but Chris carried her love for Erik through the years and made sure his children and grandchildren knew how special he was to her. She later moved to Celina and began a life with David Hawkey, sharing their son, Ryan and many of life's best moments together. She also spent many special times in life with her friend, Steve Stith and his 3 sons Kyle, Adam, Aaron and their families. Chris had many special friends that she regarded as family, too many to name! One in particular was her sister, turned lifetime bestfriend and confidante, Anita. Throughout the changing seasons of life, the two remained constant, sharing unconditional love and support for one another. Her greatest joys in life were her 14 grandchildren: Louden, Peyton, Brycen, Alicia, Brooklyn, Braden, Nathan, Marlee, Dalen, Charlie, Jaelyn, Gracen, Owen and Jason Jr. and her 7 beautiful great-grandchildren: Avah, Caide, Novalee, Cale, Dawson, Cobe and Jordyn. With Chris, ypu could drop the "in-law" and just become family. Deon, Mindy, Katie, Natasha, Jenna, Ciara and Robert were the special people in her children and grandchildren's lives whom she welcomed into her heart with open arms and unconditional love. The holidays made for a house full of love, and people! Chris will be missed by her family, friends and many cherished nieces and nephews left to mourn her passing. A fighter until the end, she went home to the loving arms of Jesus after a heroic battle with cancer on June 30, 2026; reunited forever with her parents, Erik, Dave, Deon, Natasha and other loved ones and friends gone before her. Though no family gathering will ever feel the same again without her, her famous fudge, cheeseball or cheesecake, we will hold a place for her at the table and in our hearts. We will remember her best for her bright blue eyes, warm smile, her innate ability to make anyone feel special, and the way she loved to feed anyone who made their way to her kitchen- where pancakes and fried pork chops were never in short supply! As a family we honor her legacy in the way we love one another and show up for others. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery in Celina. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026 and an hour before services on Monday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
